On January 30, 2009, Debbie Walkenhorst lost a courageous battle with cancer.  Her love of arts and crafts has brought beauty and enjoyment to literally thousands of people with her works. 

The DW Arts Program has been set up to give opportunities for people who may not otherwise be able to, take an art class free of charge.  Packages will be awarded to deserving individuals in a quiet way without pomp in circumstance, in the memory of Debbie. 

Packages will include class fees, supplies for the course, supplies to get started on projects after the course; and gift certificates to craft shops to allow the individual get a start on bringing beauty to others like Debbie did for many.  Many of her finished and unfinished products will also be sold to benefit the fund.
